No boot if serial Tx/Tx connected to pins 8/10
I'm trying to get a GPS receiver running on the Tinker Board.  If I power up without any connection to pins 8 & 10, boot, connect up the GPS to 8/10 and dump the serial data I get a correct GPS serial stream.

If I power up with the GPS connected to Rx/Tx, the red power light on the TB lights up, but the green access light stays dark forever and no boot.

Any suggestions?

I think you should use another serial port, as this port is used as console port. When I connect a serial adapter there I get stdout messages and when this port receives data during u-boot, the u-boot interrupts the booting process.
