What did change on HDMI output from Marshmallow to Nougat
#1
Hello,

I found out a strange issue with the HDMI output on the new Nougat Image. Maybe nobody notice a difference because on any normal
display it works fine. I have a HDMI to SDI converter and on the Nougat image I can't get a valid HDMI Signal (picture below).
On the Marshmellow Image it works fine, so it's not a general problem. Resolution and framerate are also the same, so something must
have changed on the HDMI Output.
Any ideas on this problem?

I can't help you on this issue, but I also noticed HDMI problems on an older tv when i upgraded android. I went back in forth androids just to verify. I swapped hdmi cables and some were better than others. Even diffrent ports on the TV made a diffrence.

I've been having major HDMI issues with Android 7. Is Android 6 more stable and is it worth it to switch?

I had a some what similar issue that I posted here.
My parents Tinker board started flickering on and off to black after they upgraded their 1080p TV to 4K smart TV.
After hours of trying different cables, adjusting the screen resolution and re-burning the image to the micro sd card the problem continued.
I just ended up going back to Android 6.
